Let's face it--most of us read the press and reviews on the high end
uber video cards that can easily top one grand in dual card
configuration--and we drool. But the reality is, few of us can afford to
burn that kinda coin on something we really don't NEED. What blasphemy
is this? You heard me right--we don't really need all that video
processing horsepower to play the games currently out--or those due
out in the foreseeable future--as the very respectable benchmark
numbers of XFX's GeForce 7900GT that follow demonstrate. When we saw the initial performance numbers on the 7900GT we knew we would have to get our hands on one and the guys at SilverPCS had them in stock =)

Packaging and Accessories
XFX designed their box so it would stand out on crowded retail
shelves, and I am sure it does. It is shaped like an "X" and has a
weird werewolf with chains pictured on the front. Basic information
such as model, amount of memory and interface is displayed as well. The
back of the box has a window through which you can see the heatsink
portion of the card itself.
The bundle that comes with this
card is not the greatest by any stretch, but very few manufacturers are
including the massive (and mostly useless) game bundles they once did.
XFX does include the game Starship Troopers--great movie, OK game.
Also included are a pair of VGA to DVI adaptors (dongles) for those of
us who still use VGA monitors, a Molex to PCI-E power adaptor, and TV
out composite cables.
Of course, there's the obligatory CD with outdated
drivers. We also have the standard User's Manual, Multi-Language Quick
Installation Guide, and a small brochure with Gaming Accessories offered
by XFX .
